In addition to our certificate programs, the Center designs and delivers customized training programs for nonprofit organizations and boards, membership associations, foundations and community collaborative initiatives. Examples of customized programs include:
District of Columbia – At the invitation of the District of Columbia Mayor’s Office, the Center provided financial management training for local nonprofit graduates of the Strengthening Partners Initiative of the Mayor’s Office of Partnerships and Grants Development.
Harry S. Truman Foundation – As part of the Truman Scholar Leadership Week in Washington, DC, the Center designed a learning experience to expose the Scholars to the work of nonprofits, leaders in the field, and volunteer and career opportunities.
International Monetary Fund – The Center provided members of the International Monetary Fund’s Community Outreach and Grants Program with training in current trends and practices related to grant proposal evaluation.
Jessie Ball duPont Fund Executive Institute – In a unique partnership with the Jessie Ball duPont Fund in Jacksonville, Florida, the Center provides an Executive Institute for the foundation’s nonprofit grantees. Executive directors, board members and senior staff participate as a team, learning about the nonprofit sector and addressing management issues related to their organizations.
United Way of America – In partnership with the United Way of America and the Center for Lobbying in the Public Interest, we offer a series of Public Policy Engagement Institutes for CEOs and senior staff of UWA’s affiliate organizations. Working with faculty coaches, participants design public policy implementation plans for their respective organizations.
