Spotlight:New Nonprofit Concentration in the MPM Program
We are pleased to announce that the Masters in Public Management program at the Georgetown Public Policy Institute (GPPI) has just created a new Nonprofit Concentration. It is designed for working professionals and focuses on bridging the gap between theory and practice by combining the tools of policy analysis with the unique challenges facing nonprofit organizations. The MPM Nonprofit program gives participants the opportunity to become part of a network of leaders committed to working across organizations, communities, and sectors to address public needs. It caters to the unique needs of nonprofit professionals—from the need to work within issue networks to the core competencies necessary for an organization to be effective and accountable. This 36-credit degree program includes core courses in public policy and nonprofit management as well as a capstone assignment which gives students a chance to integrate analytic, management and advocacy skills in pursuing solutions to a specific policy issue. Please contact Virginia Amundson for more information at 202-687-2269 or vla@georgetown.edu. The program has a rolling application process.
