Developing the Leadership of Executive Directors and Board Chairs

APRIL 15-19, 2013 – The Center for Public & Nonprofit Leadership provided customized trainings for 29 of the nonprofits funded by the Jessie Ball duPont Fund. The Executive Director/Board Chair Leadership Institute, held April 15-17, focused on building the capacity of the Executive Director and Board Chair to work effectively as a team to 1) develop and effective board, 2) strengthen their organization’s performance, and 3) create lasting impact.

The Executive Director Alumni Meeting, April 17-19, centered on the theme of “Leaders Who Make a Difference.” Through a leadership assessment and historical case study, participants were given time to reflect on their own leadership style and consider ways to enhance their success both inside their organizations and in the broader community.
