New scholarship supporting nonprofits founded by American Muslims
Posted in News Story
Penny Appeal USA is excited to announce a new scholarship for current leaders working in organizations established by American Muslims. The scholarship covers the full tuition to participate in Georgetown University’s Summer 2020 Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate Program, which is offered online. The goal of the scholarship is to advance inclusion, build leadership capacity, and support the growth of the American Muslim nonprofit sector.
Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate Program
Founded in 2002, the Certificate Program is designed to strengthen the leadership and management capacity of nonprofit practitioners. Designed as an experiential leadership lab, this program provides a stimulating and supportive climate for exploring the pressing issues that current and future nonprofit leaders face. Each participant takes part in a sequence of online sessions that explore the various aspects of nonprofit management and undertakes a management project that addresses a major organizational issue or need.
The program also gives participants the opportunity to become part of a network of nonprofit leaders committed to working across organizations, communities, and sectors to address public needs. Many of our 1,500 alumni have found these networking opportunities to be invaluable. Learn more about the Certificate Program here.
