Georgetown’s Center for Public and Nonprofit Leadership (CPNL) helps to advance the goals of the McCourt School of Public Policy by preparing leaders who can work for the public good across all sectors. Our Center’s programs focus on experiential education, research, and public convenings.
The Program Manager has the opportunity to work with the Center’s renowned faculty and meet top leaders in the nonprofit and philanthropic sector through our programs and issue forums.
Job Overview
The Program Manager will collaborate with Center leadership to manage CPNL’s executive education programs, which have trained more than 2,000 nonprofit leaders nationally and internationally. Over time, based on experience and readiness, they will assume primary responsibility for the daily operations of the Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate Program (founded in 2002), including but not limited to administering the program budget, coordinating academic and staff personnel matters, and independently solving program problems that arise.
In a role with leadership growth potential, they will work with the Center’s Associate Director to support the new Executive Certificate in Philanthropic Leadership and other customized executive programs. Additionally, they will manage the Center’s external communications and assist with grant writing.
Work Interactions
Reporting to the Center’s Associate Director and frequently collaborating with the Center’s senior-level leadership, the Program Manager has the opportunity to hire and manage undergraduate interns to help support the Center’s work, including a communications assistant and office assistant.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree [note: consideration will be given to equivalent work experience]
- 3 to 5 years of work experience relevant to the job responsibilities
Salary Range:
$65,000 to $75,000
